About Jamie

Jamie Cates is a dedicated real estate professional in Key West, FL with deep roots in the community.  Born and raised; a “conch” which is the word used to refer to native locals, Jamie possesses an intimate knowledge of the island’s culture, history, and unique real estate market understanding the needs of buyers and sellers, whether they are locals, newcomers or investors looking for their own piece of “paradise”.

Graduating from Key West High School in 1997 and the University of South Florida in 2002 she pursued a successful career in public education.  As a Key West homeowner, she has lived in just about every neighborhood on the island and feels privileged to have raised her family here.  After taking on several investments, construction projects and expanding into owning and managing long and short-term rentals, she was naturally led to a career in real estate.   Jamie began her career with Berkshire Hathaway, Knight, and Gardner Realty in 2017 overseeing marketing, and later transitioned to sales associate in 2024.

Jamie is passionate about helping her clients achieve their real estate goals, going above and beyond for each and every client.  Jamie combines local expertise, marketing savvy, and a personal touch to deliver exceptional results.  Whether buying, selling, or investing you can trust Jamie to guide you with integrity, professionalism, and a true love for her hometown.
